Luigi TESTA is
the President of the SHAPE Former Enlisted Association (SFEA).
He co-founded the Association together with Sam Staggers in 2009. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Luigi graduated as “Geometra" (Project Coordinator/Land Surveyor) before joining the Italian Carabinieri Corps in 1975. He arrived in Belgium in 1980, where he was assigned to the SHAPE Provost Marshall’s Office, International Military Police, until 1985. He then left the Italian Carabinieri Corps to pursue a new career as Insurance Broker in Belgium. Thanks to his initiative and hard work, the Meraini S.A. (Insurance Brokers) were able to open the first insurance office on the SHAPE base. 

 

Today Luigi is the Manager of the Meraini Insurance Office at SHAPE and since 1985 he has been providing invaluable, professional insurance-related advice and support to the entire SHAPE community. 

 

Luigi, in his capacity as the SFEA President, coordinates the Association’s activities and puts his vast experience of the international environment at the service of the Association and its members; his firm but fair hand has been instrumental for the execution of duties and has built up the strong reputation of the Association. 

 

In 1982, Luigi married Loredana Alemanno and they are the proud parents of three young men: Anthony, Christian and Kevin.
